We came across this documentary about Burundi and found it quite accurate in depicting the difficulties in Burundi. If you have time and would like to understand more about where we live please, take 34 minutes to watch it.

The only thing we disagreed with as a family is that we do not think it is the most unhappy country in the world. In fact, our boys think Americans are more unhappy than Burundians. Josiah borrowed a book from the library in Indiana that actually showed a statistic that Burundi was not even close to the least happy. The people have nothing, their lives are extremely difficult and yet their smiles are the most contagious smiles in the world.

Since this documentary was posted in 2022 only a few things have changed. Inflation is worse, fuel is much worse to obtain, and the wages earned stays the same.
