Josh & Michelle Krumenacher

In 2008 Michelle graduated from college and took her first trip to Burundi in 2009. While there she fell in love with the people and the country.  In 2011 she met Josh, they were married in May 2012.  Josh knew he would never fully understand his new bride until he experienced Burundi, so they served together on a short-term trip in July 2012.

2013 they had their first son, Josiah and in 2014 they all went across the ocean to serve in Burundi with hopes of a long-term stay in their near future.  A week before they left they learned they were expecting again.  Their second son, Samuel was born in 2015 premature.  He had many health issues so they felt their calling was to focus on their family and entrust the Lord to continue ministering to those they loved in Burundi.

Samuel’s health slowly strengthened over the years, and the family had their third son, Neil, in 2018. They felt the Lord stirring them to go back to Burundi, and God made that dream a reality in August 2022. The entire family then fell in love with Burundi, and they prayerfully moved forward with serving the widows and orphans of Burundi in a long-term capacity.

Josh and Michelle, and their 3 boys, lived in Burundi for almost a year and began a strong partnership with the people there. They returned to the States in March of 2025. They moved to Oklahoma in June 2025, where they serve at Unbound Church, a church that is primarily African refugees and students. Michelle teaches English to refugees, and Josh serves alongside the Burundian pastor. They are still heavily involved in ministry in Burundi through World Renewal Burundi.

Josiah K

Josiah is an engineer; he loves to build with Legos, Engino’s, and wood! Josiah has a servants heart and will jump up to do anything if it helps someone. He really likes food from other countries and trying new foods. Josiah enjoyed playing with the kids in Burundi and eating the food!

Samuel K

Samuel is an adventuresome, dare I say, borderline rebel. Don’t let his wild side fool you, he is actually an extremely tenderhearted boy who loves people with every ounce of his being. He loves riding his electric motorcycle and trying new tricks. He enjoys the outdoors and playing the piano. Samuel loves riding the ipikipiki (motorcycles) in Burundi!

Neil K

Neil is an energetic boy who loves his older brothers, whom he calls “my guys.” Neil is a strong boy and is most happy when his family is together. He loves dogs and enjoys the outdoors. Neil loves the animals in Burundi, especially the bunnies.
